Sarkoz message is :

All together we can do it ....

i would like to add some small exclusions to his sentence ...

- without gays
- without poor people
- without bad educated
- without mercy

Bad bad bad ....
Anyway i recommend to rent a well protected garage or parking place the next few days ...

Ouch france, it seems i need to move my ass out here, since iam no longer wanted here ....

H2o: don't caricature, gays have never been the center of debates (like in the 2nd election of Bush). If you're alluding to the adoption by gay parents, this has nothing to do with homophobia... imho they should be given the right to be married, besides that's quite funny to see the gay movement militate for marriage as they've mocked it for years as a traditional value. Child adoption is another far more serious issue as it involves... children.

from my centrist point of view i do see disappointed socialist sympathizers hallucinate about what the socialist preachers have said... this is exactly the same collective delusions when Mitterrand finally won in 1981 and when some rightist old people thought russian tanks would enter Paris...

seriously, be serious :P

Look what Sarkozy and the majority of the french people have done, making the poor people see that they have no future with Sarkozy as a leader so they burn up cars in order to protest. That`s the only means they have to be listened to. Sarkozy is a racist and his politic is for only the upper middle-class. The rest he say is trash.

How on earth could the french voters be so stupid to vote on Sarkozy? There must be a re-election because the wrong person got most votes.

Individualism doesn't have anything to do with greed. It's entirely possible to be an individual and not selfish.

Socialism is the idea that humans are inherently selfish and greedy and must be oppressed by institutions, otherwise the strong will subdue the weak. I know I don't want to believe that. And even if it's true, then building powerful institutions doesn't change that supposed aspect of human nature, it just tries to compensate for it while still constantly reminding everyone that they "deserve it".

french socialists are just stupid or stubborn, they needed an überdefeat to face realities and finally realize that blairism is the way for a modern socialism (without the submission to the US big brother, of course).

they have lost not only because sarkozy is an expert politician/orator but because they didn't want to change their habits, to speak efficiency instead od their usual sectarism. One of their argument was that sarkozy was not a break from chirac because they are supposed to be in the same party : come on, that was lies to the electors and to themselves, sarkozy has kinda nothing to do with chirac who represents a past era and a kinda soft mixbag of left and right and especially prudent statu quo. They haven't really prepared and thought about this election being stuck in eternal internal fights while sarko has been preparing himself, his party, the medias, the whole citizens for years! They have globally been just amateur and they lost, that's the simple reason and the harsh reality.

Mandenmann:
He asked friends to write seducing articles in Hugi, Pain, Sceen, he had catchy jingles praising his name on Nectarine and Demoscene.tv... All that for 2 years.
Pure namevoting, that is.

Silkut :

So you're saying he's like the Farbrausch of French politics?

o_O

I didn't like any of them (or any french politicians generally - they seem like hot air balloons full of empty phrases (ok, all politicians are like that, but french ones seem even worse)) but at least a good thing that that China-loving socialist bitch didn't win.
