ArtCity - Pigging out on Pixels |
Hey pixelfans, it's been 10 days since the grand reopening of ArtCity, so we thought that now would be a good time to take this chance to say thankyou and to inform you about what's going on.
Some stats for the warm up: 01.03.2010 Artists: 1060, Pics: 3983, Comments: 446, Votes: 1422, Tags Unique/All: 715 / 11411 10.03.2010 Artists: 1138, Pics: 4512, Comments: 661, Votes: 2857, Tags Unique/All: 852 / 14336
Since the relaunch more than 500 new pics have been added, for example a Spectrum area with more than 300 pics was created and Veto is working on the C64 area that has already grown to 76 pics. Take a look at the new C64 gfx modes here to get a taste of the future. We gained some new articles and new interviews from the likes of Darklight, Unreal and Magicboy. As well as the content, both features and the overall code are beeing improved and expanded on by Georgy on a daily basis.
Exocet from France is our first featured artist and has already received a positive response as well as a lot of comments and ~200 votes for his pictures.
Big up to KF, Slayer, Menace, Bobic, KEiTO, Proteque, Exocet, RayNoa, Serpent, Vincenzo and Vinnny for their submissions and their help.
We are looking for helping hands, people who are willing to do journalistic work like performing interviews, preparing new features and people who would like to join us to maintain the already enormous amount of data, especially if you are from the Atari, Amiga or the Spectrum fold. The success of ArtCity thrives on the involvement of you the people and something that's worth having should be worth supporting. Getting involved couldn't be easier, simply use your BitFellas account and vote, comment, submit pictures, reports, fill in an interview sheet, every little counts. Help us to raise the quality bar and contact ALiEN or CONS for any more details.
The TagCloud that we have created is still expanding, and with more than 14,000 tags already this is a clear testament to how fast it's growing. No matter if you are looking for logos, Scoopex logos, coop productions, diskmag related gfx, funny images or weird stuff like gasmasks, clowns or glasses, the TagCloud will guide you to your desired result.
We would also like to point out that so far since the relaunch ArtCity has received in excess of 50,000 hits, and as we expand our content and features we hope this continues to grow and that you make ArtCity a regular visit on your graphical surfing sessions.
Cheers ALiEN^bf, CONS, Georgy, Veto - ArtCity Staff. [Submitted by CONS] |
